The women's basketball team earned their first win of the season in a rematch with Schenectady County CC, 37-34, on Wednesday night in Schenectady.  In the first game against the Royals, played back on November 1st at Broome, the Hornets came out on the losing end by a score of 45-38. The rematch started out much the same as game one with Broome leading at the half, 23-17, but the similarities ended there.  The Hornets took a 23-14 lead into halftime, led by Julianna Mushalla's 15 points.

Unlike game one, Broome held the lead at the end of the 3rd quarter, 30-25.  Schenectady did manage to tie the game late in the 4th quarter at 34 all before, with just under a minute to play, Clyneia Willard hit her second 3-pointer of the night to give Broome the win.

The Hornets will host North Country CC this Saturday at 1:00 P.M. and Clinton CC on Sunday at noon.  Prior to the start of Saturday's game the Athletic Department will have a moment of silence in honor of Miranda Gifford who passed away suddenly on November 1st.
