Men Break More Records At Pioneer Spring Invite

After a successful trip to Utica, there are now new program records in the 100 meter and 200 meter dashes. Charles Larrabee set the new mark for the 100 meter by running 11.57 seconds, just 0.05 seconds shy of the qualifying standard for Nationals. Three Broome runners surpassed the previous 200 meter record, with Lucas McPeak delivering the fastest time with 23.80 seconds. Nevan Doubleday ran 23.82 seconds and Larrabee followed with 23.86 seconds.
David Akulis jumped 1.84 meters in the high jump, just over six feet, which tied his own record from last season. He earned 2nd place in the event.
Doubleday improved on his season bests with a time of 56.92 in the 400 meter and a mark of 1.69 meters in the high jump, as well. McPeak ran the 100 meter in 11.79 seconds. Braeden Goerlich also broke 12 seconds in the event, with a time of 11.86, and jumped 4.87 meters in the long jump.
Ya'Siin Bacchas ran the 100 meter, 200 meter, and 400 meter. He secured respective times of 12.68 seconds, 25.39 seconds, and 58.14 seconds. Demetrius Wilson Jr. made his season debut with a 59.28 in the 400 meter and a mark of 4.99 meters in the long jump.
Jacob Quail ran the 800 meter in 2:34.52, improving his season best by almost nine seconds, and finished the long jump with a distance of 4.16 meters.
