Broome fell to Genesee CC on Saturday afternoon, 3-1, in Batavia with the MSAC title on the line. The Hornets (10-2-1; 4-1 MSAC) played the Cougars (8-3-1; 4-1 MSAC) for the conference title and came out on the short end in their last contest of the regular season.

The Hornets outshot the Cougars 17 to 5 but struggled to find the back of the net. The lone Hornet goal in the contest came off the foot of Georgia Novitsky, courtesy of a Dana Stepp assist, the Region III leader in assists with 17. Novitsky picked up her first collegiate goal in the last game of the regular season.

Broome will now wait to find out where they will be seeded and who their next opponent will be in the Region III Championships.
