Soccer Advances To North District B Finals
The women's soccer team defeated North Country CC on Tuesday afternoon by a score of 1-0 to earn a spot in the North District B Region III Finals.

The Hornets (#2) hosted the Saints (#7) on Alumni Field in the ninety minute contest with the only goal coming in the 10th minute of play off the foot of Arianna Michitti, aided by an assist from Ella Stafford. Michitti's goal was her 20th of the season, a hard shot to the near post past the North Country keeper, and all Broome would need to secure the victory. The Saints had a handful of shots on goal but came up short, thanks to a swarming Hornet defense.
Kayla Wyckoff rose to the occasion in goal to solidify the win for the home team with 2 saves on 8 shots on goal.
Broome will face Genesee CC (#3) this Saturday in Batavia at 3:00 P.M. in the North District B Championship match while Mohawk Valley CC (#1) will take on Finger Lakes CC (#4) in the North District A Championship match. The winners will represent Region III in the NJCAA DIII National Tournament hosted by Herkimer College November 9-13.
