Women Collect Four Medals At Nationals

Aja Jackson and Ava Schiff competed for the Hornets at the meet, combining to earn four medals, notch four top-8 finishes, earn two NJCAA All-American honors, and more.
Jackson was crowned the National Champion in the women's 10,000 meter race with a time of 40:37.64. This set a new personal-best for Jackson by a whopping 56 seconds, and it set a school record for the event. Aja added to that by finishing as the National Runner-Up in the women's 5,000 meter race with a time of 19:15.53. This set a personal-best by 30.25 seconds, and set a school record for the event.
With the finishes of #1 and #2 overall in her events, Aja earned a medal and was named an NJCAA All-American for each.
Schiff, meanwhile, showed her versatility by competing in the 100 meter hurdles, the triple jump, and the shot put. She took 8th place in Finals of the hurdles with a time of 18.89 seconds, earning a medal. She also placed 8th overall in the triple jump with a distance of 9.37 meters, earning a medal. Schiff came in at 12th place in the shot put with a distance of 7.96 meters.
The Hornets placed 13th out of 21 schools at the meet.
These results brought a stellar end to the season for the team, one which saw numerous personal records and school records get set along the way.
