The SUNY Broome men's soccer team was unable to hold the #1 ranked NJCAA Division III team on Tuesday afternoon, dropping a 5-1 decision at Alumni Field. Jordan Stovart put the Generals (6-0) on the board with the his first goal in the 10th minute of play. Stovart finished the first half with two more goals in the 26th and 29th minute. The Hornets (1-3) lone goal came when Adrian Race found the back of the net courtesy of an assist from Alex Pelto just before the end of the first half. Herkimer outshot Broome 19-12 and both teams had 4 corner kicks. Anthony Abreu was solid in goal for the Hornets with 14 saves.

Broome will host Corning CC this Thursday at 4:00 p.m.
