Men's Soccer Team Blanks Corning

Three different Hornets scored as host SUNY Broome shut out visiting Corning CC, 6-0, to pick up its second win of the season in a MSAC soccer match on Alumni Field Thursday afternoon. The Hornets (2-3, 2-0 MSAC) dominated from the start scoring four goals in the first 4 1/2 minutes of the game. Freshman Robbie Hoover led Broome with three goals and an assist, freshman Adrian Race had one goal and two assists while sophomore Troy Bowersox and freshman Sam Martinichio each added a goal. Sophomore Curtis Richards had seven saves for the Hornets in net and Zach Taber had four saves for the Red Barons (0-5, 0-2 MSAC).

Broome will host Cayuga CC on Saturday immediately following the women's game. The doubleheader will start at 1:00 p.m.
