Women Hang On For Road Win

The women's basketball team held on for a 51-50 MSAC win against Cayuga CC in Auburn, NY on Saturday. Megan Mullins tied the game at 41 all with a deep three at 11:19 in the second half and Kelcie Marshall gave the Hornets their first lead of the half 43-41 forty-seven seconds later. China Agnew hit a 3-pointer with thirty seconds left to pull the Spartans within one point 51-50 and had another chance for the win on a 3-point shot with eleven seconds left but that shot was off the mark and rebounded by Jennifer Celiberti. Broome saw three players in double figures led by Celiberti with 16 points and 15 rebounds, Marshall added 14 points and Megan Pipher had 10 points and 10 rebounds. This was Celiberti's eighth consecutive double double. Agnew led all scorers for Cayuga with 23 points.

Broome will host Corning CC this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. in their final home game of the year.
