The volleyball team swept Cayuga CC 25-17, 25-22, 25-11 in their home opener Wednesday night in the West Gym. The Hornets improved to 2-0 on the young season with the win. Ashleen Speen (Vestal, NY/Vestal) led the host team with 18 kills, 10 digs and 3 defensive blocks. Paige Redmond (Sidney, NY/Sidney) had 28 assists, Marisa Tubaugh (Windsor, NY/Windsor) added 15 digs, Maddison VanEtten (Port Crane, NY/Harpursville) chipped in with 3 blocks and Miranda Green (Glen Aubrey, NY/Maine Endwell) had 3 aces.

The Hornets waste no time and head out to Corning, NY to face the Red Barons tomorrow evening at 6:00 p.m.
