Volleyball Team Falls In Corning
The women's volleyball team fell to Corning CC Wednesday evening 3-0 in Corning, NY. The Hornets' first big challenge of the season came up short despite battling hard against the formidable Corning offense, dropping all three sets 25-19, 25-20, 25-14 to the Red Barons. 
Broome reached their season high of 9 team blocks led by Miranda Green (Glen Aubrey, NY/Maine Endwell) with 4. Ashleen Speen (Vestal, NY/Vestal) had 9 kills, Paige Redmond (Sidney, NY/Sidney) added 17 assists and Marisa Tubaugh (Windsor, NY/Windsor) contributed with 19 digs. Green also had the only ace for the Hornets (2-1) in the loss.
Up next is a 10:00 a.m. match against SUNY Delhi followed by a 2:00 p.m. match against Hostos CC this Saturday in the West Gym.
