Volleyball Opens Up The Season With A Win

The volleyball team opened up the 2022 season with a 3-1 victory in Corning on Tuesday evening against the Red Barons by set scores of 25-17, 25-20, 21-25, 25-21. Megan Carden led the attack with 13 kills followed by Gabriella Bishop and Casie Kephart with 6 kills each, and Melissa Carden and Josephine Dure picking up 5 kills apiece. First year setter Anna Tiberia had 27 assists and Brianna Rossi anchored the back row defense with 24 digs. Melissa Carden had 2 solo blocks and one assisted block. Bishop had a team high 5 aces. 
 
The Hornets will travel to Watertown this Saturday for the Jefferson Invitational beginning at 11:00 A.M.
