Volleyball Goes 1-1 Against MSAC Opponents

The Hornets began the day with a matchup against conference opponent Onondaga CC, losing the match 3-0. Broome followed with a match against conference opponent and the host, Corning CC, winning the match 3-0.
The Lazers defeated the Hornets in three straight sets by scores of 25-20, 25-17, and 25-13. Amariah Argro led the team with six kills while Anna Le followed with five and Kate Spencer had four. Ha Tran had 12 assists in the loss. Three Hornets tallied double digits in digs as Tran with 10 and Spencer with 12 joined Ayshah Almashni with 20.
Broome bounced back to defeat the Red Barons in the next match in three straight sets by scores of 25-19, 25-16, and 25-17. Spencer had 13 kills and seven digs while Argro had 11 kills and nine digs. Tran had 14 assists and 8 digs. Emily Bidwell made her season debut for the Hornets and had 13 assists.
Broome is now 4-6 on the season and will be back in action at a Region III POD hosted by Finger Lakes CC on Saturday.
