The baseball team continued to struggle in the field against Herkimer on Monday afternoon at home, losing both by scores of 14-1 and 12-1. Errors and walks told the story as the Hornets combined for 10 errors and 18 walks in the doubleheader giving the Generals a distinct advantage in both games as was evident in the scores and both games ending in the run rule..

Trevor Dennison laced a triple to right followed by Tyler Kopolow's single to account for the lone run for Broome in the opener. In game two Dante Burns singled to left and later scored on a single by Matthew Meleski for the only run of the game. Dennison also had a great day behind the plate by throwing out two runners going down to second base.

Next game for the Hornets is another home contest beginning at 2:00 P.M. against Hudson Valley CC this Thursday, with game two to follow.
