Baseball dropped both games of their doubleheader against Columbia-Greene CC on Thursday afternoon by scores of 5-3 in game one, and 4-2 in game two. The Hornets came into the contest winners of their last two games, but fell short against the same Twins on Thursday. Unlike the games played at home this past Tuesday where there were 35 total runs scored, Thursday's games saw a total of 14 runs scored.

Both games saw the Hornets show quiet bats and poor base running which made it a struggle to keep pace with the Twins. Dante Burns put together some quality at bats with a double and a two-run RBI triple. Trevor Dennison checked in with two hits including a double. Starting pitchers for Broome had a great day on the mound and kept the visitors in both games. Ethan Pastrick went 6 strong innings only giving up two earned runs in game one and Cameron Tom kept Columbia-Greene scoreless through four innings only giving up two hits. The Hornets fall to 3-23 while the Twins improve to 6-19.

The Hornets will be back at it at home this Saturday when Genesee comes to town for a doubleheader scheduled for a 1:00 P.M. start
