Baseball ended their season with a split against Tompkins Cortland CC on Thursday afternoon, dropping game one 18-4 before taking game two 4-3.

The Panthers took the first game in convincing fashion as the Hornets made seven errors and gave up sixteen hits in the five inning contest. Thomas Contrata was the lone bright spot in game one, the center fielder went 1-2 driving in two runs off a line drive single.

Game two saw Thomas Ricci dominate on the mound, only giving up four hits and one earned run going the distance for the win and close out  the season on a high note. Trevor Dennison showed that he is the MVP of the team stealing bases late to put pressure on Panther defense which produced the winning run on a error.

Broome finished the season 5-31, besting their 4-28 record from a year before.

Binghamton native and Seton Catholic graduate Trevor Dennison was named to the 2023 Baseball MSAC All-Conference Team for his efforts during the season. The catcher led the team with a .333 batting average as well as being in the top three in every other statistical category.
