Men's Soccer Improve to 1-1

The men's soccer team improved to 1-1 with a 4-1 victory over Corning CC Wednesday afternoon at Alumni Field. 

Corning's  Caleb Johnson scored at 37:39 in the first half with a rebound off a save by keeper Tyler Hinds (Vestal, NY/Vestal).  The Hornets came out strong and dominated the ball in the second half with four unanswered goals. The first goal came at 47:44 by Philip Youngs (Otego, NY/Unatego) with an assist by Justin Friend (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott).  Kyle Garner (Vestal, NY/Vestal) scored at 57:09 assisted by Christopher Ames (Chenango Forks, NY/Chenango Forks).  Joshua Wlostowski (Vestal, NY/Vestal) found the back of the net in the 88th minute. assisted by Youngs. Youngs scored again at 89:51 double assisted by Nathan Krome (Johnson City, NY/Johnson City) and Ames. Hinds played in goal with 3 strong saves and a breakaway save.  

The Hornets travel to Niagara County CC in Sanborn, NY this Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. soccer match.
