The softball team suffered it's first loss of the season to Herkimer County CC 9-1 in game one and 12-2 in game two Tuesday afternoon in Herkimer, NY. In game one, Meagan Malarkey (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) scored the Hornets (10-2) only run in the losing effort. In game two, Laura Knight (Conklin, NY/Susquehanna Valley) drove in a run with a triple and scored on a sacrifice fly. Kelsey Gannett (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) and Knight both fell to 5-1 while the Generals (14-1) pitchers, Toni Secreti and Jessica Patterelli, each picked a win.

Broome will travel this Thursday for a 3:00 p.m. doubleheader against SUNY Delhi.
