The softball team shutout Alfred State College by scores of 8-0 in the first game and 2-0 in game two on Tuesday afternoon in Alfred, NY. In game one Catherine Caricchio (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) went 3-5 with three RBIs and pitcher Laura Knight (Conklin, NY/Susquehanna Valley) earned the win. In game two Kelsey Gannett (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) had fifteen strikeouts and Knight drove in both of the Hornets runs.
Broome will face Monroe CC this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in Binghamton at the BAGSAI Softball Complex.
