Softball Splits With Onondaga

The softball team split a doubleheader on Sunday with Onondaga CC dropping the first game 7-3 and taking the second game 14-2 at the BAGSAI softball complex. In game one, Kelsey Gannett (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) fell to 7-2 and Amanda Smith (Ely, NV/White Pine) went 3-4 with an RBI for the Hornets in the losing effort. In game two, Laura Knight improved to 8-1 and helped her cause with a three-run double in the first inning, a grand slam in the third and finished the day with eight RBIs.

The Hornets (15-3;7-1) will host Tompkins-Cortland CC this Thursday at 3:00 p.m.
