The women's cross country team will run in the 2023 MSAC Championship Meet on Saturday hosted by Corning CC.

The meet will take place at a venue separate from Corning's campus called The Y at Watson Woods. The women will race at 10:00 a.m. and run a distance of 3.1 miles (five km).

The Hornets took first place at the 2022 MSAC XC Championships, with Aja Jackson finishing #1 overall in the race and Claudia Chermak finishing #3 overall. The Hornets also won the 2021 MSAC XC Championship, so they will look to make it three straight titles this year. Broome is hungry for more postseason success after the team followed up its MSAC championship with a #2 overall finish at the Region III XC Championship meet last year. The Hornets will strive to also claim that title this year.

Look out for Broome's Jackson to pace the race yet again this year. She is coming off a first place finish and a time of 21:58.9 in her most recent meet this season.
