Jackson Leads Broome Runners At Region 3 Championships

The women's cross country team competed in the Region 3 XC Championships on Saturday and Aja Jackson led the way for Broome.

Jackson finished first on the team and in 2nd place overall in the race. She registered a time of 22:04.8, over 30 seconds faster than her 1st place time in last weekend's Mid-State Athletic Conference XC Championships race. Jackson was also named to the Region 3 All-Region team following the race. 

Victoria Slack was next-in-line for the Hornets with a top-25 finish in the race and a time of 31:04.9. Amber Neumuth was also impressive for Broome as she achieved a top-30 finish in the race with a time of 34:25.6. 

After a strong performance for Jackson this weekend, she will next be competing in the NJCAA Division III Women's XC National Championships race at 1:00 p.m. on November 11 in Huntsville, Alabama.
