The soccer team came from behind to defeat the NJCAA's 9th ranked team, Bergen County CC, 3-2, in the Coliseum Kickoff Classic.  The Bulldogs opened up the scoring in the 16th minute and added another goal four minutes later to go up 2-0.  Ismar Turkovic (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) controlled a punt from Luke Duncan (Jersey, GB/Highlands) in the 39th minute and put it away for his third goal of the season.  

 

The Hornets tied it up in the 63rd minute of the second half when Pedro Marcano (Barinas, Venezuela/Nuestra Senora del Pilar) took a ball from Damian Rutan (Cincinnatus, NY/Cincinnatus) and finished for his second goal of the season. The Hornets completed the comeback in the 75th minute, when Bennett Miller (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) finished Noah Kozecke's (Endwell, NY/Maine-Endwell) pass for the game winner, and Bennett's first of the season.  Duncan had 5 saves in net for SUNY Broome to earn his second win of the season.

 

Broome plays their second game of the Invitational Sunday at 2:30 P.M. against Rowan College at Gloucester County in Herkimer, NY.
