The men's soccer team fell to Jefferson CC in Watertown on Sunday afternoon in a MSAC contest by a score of 5-1.

The Hornets played well enough in the first half to stay within striking distance, trailing the Cannoneers 2-1 heading into the intermission. The second half belonged to the host team behind three unanswered goals to secure the win for Jefferson's inaugural game on their new turf field.

Nathaniel Wojcik netted the first goal of the 2023 campaign off of a PK when Yuri Brich created, and drew the foul inside the 18 yard box. Keeper, Enoch Stephenson had 14 saves in his first collegiate start.

Broome looks to rebound in their home opener this Wednesday in another MSAC matchup beginning at 4:00 P.M. on Alumni Field against the Spartans from Cayuga CC.
