The men's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday's match in Dryden against Tompkins Cortland CC.

In a showdown of opposing goalkeepers, Broome's Dean Patterson remained unbeaten in his last three matches and tallied 6 saves on the day. Broome defenders Andrew Buckler, Owen Moretin, Nicholas Ragonese, Peter Kiuber, and Daniel Martinez displayed a strong effort in locking down the back for the Hornets, and giving the Panthers limited chances to score in the match. With 12 minutes remaining in the contest, Nathaniel Wojcik found Yuri Brich all alone around 15 yards away from the goal. Panthers goalkeeper Jack Phelan made an admirable save to neutralize Broome's threat for a goal and keep the match even. A matchup that featured double-digit shot tallies from each team surprisingly resulted in a scoreless final.

The 0-0 decision marks the second straight tie in as many games for the Hornets. Broome tied Hudson Valley Community College 3-3 in their previous contest. The Hornets now sit at 4-8-2 on the season while the Panthers will enter their next game with a record of 5-4-3.

Broome will return home to Alumni Field on Saturday for its final home game of the regular season. The Hornets will play host to the SUNY ESF Mighty Oaks at 12:00 P.M.
