Men Earn First Win Of The Season

The men's soccer team picked up their first win of the season on the road Wednesday afternoon against Niagara County CC by a score of 3-0. Dean Patterson got the nod in goal for the Hornets and, in his first collegiate start, blanked the Thunderwolves while tallying 12 saves.

Three different players found the back of the net for Broome in the match. Jasik Dhillon kicked off the scoring in the 22nd minute after winning the ball from a Niagara player and scoring from 20 yards out. John Serafini continued the scoring after receiving a pass from Angelo Mitchell and burying the ball in the net from 6 yards out. Daniel Martinez finished the scoring for the visitors in the 72nd minute with a set piece from 30 yards away. Broome improved to 1-3 while Niagara fell to 0-3.

Broome is back on the road this Saturday in Saranac Lake to take on North Country CC, scheduled for a 4:00 P.M. start.
