Softball Splits On The Road

Broome traveled to Queensbury on Sunday for a twin bill against SUNY Adirondack and dropped the first one 6-1 before bouncing back in the second one for the 6-0 win.

The Timberwolves put four runs up on the board in the bottom of the fourth and two more in the sixth while Broome struggled at the plate with just two hits. Brianna Ramstine and Carly Kirtland each had a single in the contest. Jenna Gaisford took the loss for the visitors despite 12 Ks in the circle.

Broome turned the table in game two, holding Adirondack to three hits in all while posting nine hits of their own. Doubles were had by Ramstine and Kirtland, while McKenna Beers, Keira Warwick, Alana Espinosa and Gaisford chipped in with singles. Warwick earned the win and Gaisford picked up the save in the shutout.

Broome will host Jamestown CC this Tuesday at the BU Softball complex at 3:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M.
