Women Rebound From Loss

The Hornets rebounded from their opening day loss with a 2-1 victory over Holyoke CC in Massachusetts on Saturday afternoon.  The Lady Cougars opened up the scoring in the first half when Cassidy Snyder sent a ball into the net.  The Hornets rallied back and shut down Holyoke for the balance of the game.
 
Goals by McKenna Williams (Chenango Forks, NY/Chenango Forks) and Allison O'Shea (Marathon, NY/Marathon) secured the win for Broome.  The Hornets edged out the Cougars in shots on goal 13-10, while the Cougars held a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks. Goalkeeper Jolene Krom (Sidney, NY/Sidney) took the win with 9 saves on the afternoon.
 
SUNY Broome has a four game home stand beginning next Wednesday with a 5:00 P.M. match against Corning CC.
