The women's soccer team cruised to a 9-2 victory over Niagara County CC on Saturday afternoon in a Region III game. After a slow first half start and a 3-1 halftime lead, the Hornets (2-1-1) came alive with a six-goal performance in the closing half.
Broome was led by Allison O'Shea (Marathon, NY/Marathon) with 3 goals and an assist and, Mackensie Gravelin (Sidney, NY/Sidney) and Jordan McGinnis (Endwell, NY/Maine-Endwell) each had a two-goal afternoon. Marissa Michitti (Binghamton, NY/Seton Catholic) and Jolene Krom (Sidney, NY/Sidney) rounded out the scoring with a goal apiece. Cristina Catalano notched both goals for the Thunderwolves (0-2).
SUNY Broome will be back in action on Wednesday at Alumni Field against Mohawk Valley CC with a scheduled start time of 4:00 P.M.
