Broome fell to Corning CC on Wednesday evening by a score of 67-60 in a MSAC contest played in the Baldwin Gymnasium.  The Hornets took a 29-22 halftime lead over the Red Barons only to see that lead disappear in the third quarter.  Broome made a late run in the fourth but could not close the gap on the visitors.  Both teams were evenly matched in shooting, Broome hit 22 of 68 shots while Corning hit 22 of 65 from the field.  The difference in the game came down to free throws, with the Red Barons going 20-28 from the line, 15 of those points coming in the second half, and the Hornets hitting just 9 of 19 from the charity stripe.

Daisy Allen came of the bench for 15 points to lead Broome while teammates Calista Smith and Vivian Ladd contributed 13 points apiece.  Miya Ritchie chipped in with 9 points and 7 rebounds and Anna Hotalen grabbed 10 boards.

The Hornets return to Baldwin Gymnasium this weekend with two games.  Saturday's matchup will start at 1:00 P.M. against MSAC opponent Jefferson CC and Sunday's matchup is a Region III contest against Hudson Valley CC, again at 1:00 P.M.
