The SUNY Broome softball team traveled to Rochester for a double header against Monroe CC and lost 5-1 in game one and 9-1 in game two.  Justina Ellis (Deposit, NY/Deposit) went the distance pitching both games for SUNY Broome.  In the first game the Hornets managed six hits and scored their lone run in the top of the 6th inning when McKenzie Martin (Deposit, NY/Deposit) doubled.  The next batter, Brianna Stinson (Binghamton, NY/Chenango Valley) also doubled to score Martin from second base.  

In the second game the Hornets defense played a solid game but the Tribunes offense came alive and scored 9 runs on 13 hits.  Broome's only run of the game again came from the combination of Martin and Stinson.

Broome's next scheduled game is against Jamestown CC at BAGSAI Softball Complex in Binghamton on Sunday.  Game time is 1:00 p.m.
