Volleyball Wins 4th Straight

The volleyball team traveled to Syracuse on Tuesday evening and picked up their 4th straight sweep, defeating Onondaga CC 3-0 in a MSAC match by set scores of 25-22, 25-16 and 25-23. The Hornets started the season 0-2 and improved to 4-2 with their win over the Lazers.

The offensive effort was led by Katarina Frommert with 7 kills, followed by Jaylen Bennett with 6 kills, Kate Spencer with 5 kills and Gabriella Bishop with 4 kills. Anna Tiberia had 20 assists in the sweep. Spencer had a well-rounded performance, in addition to her kills, she had a team-leading 4 aces and and added 15 digs to her totals. Team-defense was on full display with 6 Hornets amassing double-digit digs. Bishop and Bennett added 2 aces apiece to their lines.
 
Broome heads to Corning on Saturday to play Jamestown CC at 11;00 A.M. and Genesee CC at 1:00 P.M. in a POD hosted by the Red Barons.
