Volleyball Falls In Watertown

The women's volleyball team fell to Jefferson CC, 3-1, in a MSAC contest on Tuesday evening in Watertown bringing an end to their 6-game winning streak.

The Hornets lost by set scores of 18-25, 23-25, 25-20 and 18-25. Katarina Frommert led the offense with 11 kills followed by Casie Kephart with 9 kills. Frommert also led the defense with 22 digs and Jaylen Bennett, Anna Tiberia and Gabriella Bishop had double-digit dig totals with 14, 14 and 12 respectively. Tiberia also added 29 assists to her stat line. Bishop led the team in aces with a season high of 8 and Kephart had 2 solo blocks and 1 assisted block.

Both teams now stand at 6-3 overall after last night's matches.

Broome will return home this Friday for a POD starting at 5:00 P.M. The Hornets will face the Lakers from Finger Lakes CC in the first match before taking on the Tribunes from Monroe CC at 7:00 P.M.
