The women's volleyball team hosted Finger Lakes CC and Monroe CC in the West Gymnasium on Friday night and finished 1-1.

The opening match saw Broome fall to Finger Lakes 3-0 with set scores of 25-21, 25-14 and 25-8. Gabriella Bishop, Casie Kephart and Katarina Frommert all had 5 kills in the match and Mary Pierce added 4. Anna Tiberia led with 8 assists and Frommert led the team with 11 digs while Kephart added 9. 

The Hornets bounced back in the second match against the Tribunes from Monroe in a tightly contested match winning 3-1 with set scores of 25-23, 33-31, 24-26 and 25-11. Broome won a close first set by two, found themselves down 18-23 but a late rally extended the match to a marathon 33-31 final score in the second set, lost the third set by two and took the fourth set after jumping out to an early lead and won the set comfortably 25-11. Bishop had a career-high 19 kills, Kephart added 8 kills and Jenna Secoolish, Frommert and Mary Pierce had 6 kills apiece. Tiberia had a season-high 39 assists in the match. Ayshah Almashni led the defense with a career-high 32 digs with Kephart adding 24 digs and Tiberia and Bishop adding 19 and 17 respectively. Pierce had 2 solo blocks and 1 assisted block and Kephart had 1 solo block. The Hornets now stand at 7-4 on the season.
 
Broome will travel to Troy next weekend for a POD hosted by Hudson Valley CC and face SUNY Adirondack and Hudson Valley.
