Onondaga has now moved up to #8 in the latest NJCAA Division III Men's Soccer poll as it owns a 4-0-2 record. Broome dropped to 0-3 on the season with the loss.
The visiting Lazers started the scoring with two goals in the first half, and added to the lead with two goals in the second half. Onondaga registered eight shots in each half, 16 in total on the day. Broome, meanwhile, had five shots in the first half and six shots in the second half for a game total of 11. Jasik Dhillon, Ryan Rizzi, and Hamza Giles led the offensive attack with two shots each.
Dean Patterson was strong in the goal for the Hornets, racking up 12 saves.
With Broome still in search of its first win of the season, next on the calendar is a home date with Cayuga CC on September 14 at 3:00 PM.
