The team got off to a strong start on its home field by scoring the first goal of the match and taking a 1-0 advantage off the foot of Jasik Dhillon in the thirteenth minute.
The visiting Vikings responded just a couple of minutes later to knot the score at 1-1 and they did not look back. From there, Hudson Valley scored six unanswered goals to hold a 3-1 lead at halftime and eventually win the contest, 7-1.
In addition to Dhillon's goal, Lucas Cottrell and Charles Larrabee also registered shots in the game. Hornet keeper Dean Patterson collected eight saves in the net before having to leave the match due to injury. He was replaced by Maximilian Feldhoff.
With the loss, Broome drops to 0-8 on the season.
