The men's soccer team joined up as a full group for a final time in the 2024 season for an end-of-the-year dinner.
The team gathered at Little Venice restaurant in Binghamton, NY on Tuesday night.
While finishing with a 1-10-1 record, the Hornets played some of their best soccer in the final four games of the season.
The team notched its first victory on October 3 with a dominant 6-0 shutout of SUNY Niagara. Later that week, the Hornets went into the hostile territory of the #3 team in Region III in Finger Lakes, and saw a brilliant upset bid fall just short with a 4-2 final. On October 13, the team took to the road to face Erie CC and played to a 0-0 draw, but was dominant in the PK round and took that round 4-1. In the final game of the season, the Hornets hosted Tompkins Cortland and played a very competitive and winnable contest but ultimately fell 2-0.
Kudos to the Hornets for rallying to improve down the stretch of the season and generate some positive buzz to take into the 2025 season!
