Women's Soccer Team Rebounds From Loss

The women's soccer team rebounded from a 2-1 loss on Saturday with a 4-0 win over Cayuga CC Wednesday afternoon at Alumni Field. The second match of today's doubleheader proved to be a hard fought and physical game by both teams. Kirsten Klein (Endwell, NY/Maine Endwell) scored the lone first half goal on a breakaway at the 2:19 mark. The Hornets dominated in time of possesion, corners 12-0 and shots 27-0. Julia Dorber (Vestal, NY/Vestal), Jordan Shepard-Loucks (Cooperstown, NY/Cherry Valley) and Emily Cortese (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) each added a goal in the win. The Spartans keeper Breanne Becker had 17 stops in goal while Erin Hamm (Whitney Point, NY/Whitney Point) had 1 save for the host team.

The Hornets are next in action at home this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. against Fulton Montgomery CC.
