Women's Soccer Shuts Down NJCAA's 6th Ranked Team
The Hornets traveled to Hudson Valley CC on Wednesday for a showdown of Region III heavyweights and came out on top 2-0. The Hornets, in the midst of a solid run, met the NJCAA's sixth ranked team and earned their eight shutout of the year.  A goal in the 20th minute by Shelby Brassard (Spring Grove, PA/Home School) off a feed by Jordan Shepard-Loucks (Cooperstown, NY/Cherry Valley) would be all the Hornets needed to improve to 11-3/4-1 the season.  Broome's defense was impressive once again in shutting down the Vikings attack and allowed no real threats for the entire game. Brassard added the insurance goal in the 67th minute.
The Hornets next travel to Buffalo on Saturday for a Region III matchup against Erie CC followed by their final home regular season game against SUNY ESF in a non-region contest.
