Women's Soccer Team Falls To NJCAA's Fourth Ranked Team
The women's soccer team lost a heart-breaker to Herkimer County CC 1-0 in a Region III matchup on Saturday in Binghamton. After a scoreless first half in which the Hornets outshot the visitors 4 to 2, Herkimer, the NJCAA's fourth ranked team, struck in the 70th minute when their top scorer snuck by the defense and put a shot by the Hornets GK.  The match was "evenly played" the whole time and Broome had several good chances but just couldn't find the equalizer.  "This was the toughest team we've played to date and I am extremely happy with the progress of our team" said Coach Rich.
The Hornets get a week off before traveling to Clinton CC for a Region III contest on Sunday, October 12th.
