The SUNY Broome women's soccer team took on SUNY Delhi Saturday afternoon in a Region III match at Alumni Field and came out on top 8-0. The Hornets scored four goals in each half and held the advantage in shots 28-1. Hat tricks by Jordan Shepard-Loucks (Cooperstown, NY/Cherry Valley) and Kendra Zacharias (Vestal, NY/Vestal) along with 2 goals by Marley Norton (Newark Valley, NY/Newark Valley) were all the Hornets needed. The defense was again very strong allowing only 1 shot on the day and goalie Erin Hamm (Whitney Point, NY/Whitney Point) recorded her 6th shutout of the season.
Up next for the Hornets is a 4:00 p.m. MSAC match against Onondaga CC this Wednesday at Alumni Field.
