Men Drop First Game Back From Break

The Hornets dropped their first game back after the break, a 90-78 loss to SUNY ESF in the Baldwin Gymnasium on Monday night.

It was a hard fought game that saw Broome claw back from a 20 point halftime deficit, 50-30.  The Hornets outscored the Mighty Oaks in the second half 48-40, but time ran out on the comeback effort.
 
Tron Smith led five Broome players in double figures, and all 6 Hornets scored.  Smith scored 26 points, and added 10 rebounds and 5 assists, Noah Economides put in four 3 pointers on his way to a 14 point night and Quartus Steika contributed 12 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks in his first game since the 18-19 season.  Travis Kraack added 11 points with 6 rebounds, and Christian Sage had 10 with 7 boards.  Marvin Lopez chipped in 5 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in his first collegiate game.
 
The Hornets open MSAC play on Thursday night against Finger Lakes CC at home, scheduled for a 7:30 P.M. start.
