The men's basketball team ended their regular season with an MSAC loss in Watertown on Tuesday night, a 94-82 defeat against Jefferson CC.

Broome came out hot and held a lead for most of the first half, but Jefferson began to impose it's will inside as they greatly outsized the Hornets.  Jefferson hit a 3-pointer at the first half buzzer to take a 5 point lead, a lead they would keep throughout the remainder of the game.

Broome had balanced scoring on the night, with 4 players in double figures.  Quartus Steika led the way with 20 points on 7-11 shooting from the field and 5-7 from the free throw line.  Tron Smith added 19 points with 4 assists, Travis Kraack scored a collegiate high 18 points with four 3-pointers and pulled down 6 rebounds, Zachary Porter contributed 15 points with 7 boards, and Christian Sage added 10 rebounds and 3 assists to his 7 points.

The Hornets will travel to Corning on Saturday for a 3:00 P.M. start in the first round of the 2020 Region III Division III Tournament. The Hornets dropped both games to the Red Barons earlier in the season, an 82-59 loss at home back in January and an 98-66 road loss a week ago.
