The men's basketball team dropped a home game to Corning CC, 82-59, on Wednesday night.  A slow first half offensively for the Hornets led to a 16 point deficit that proved difficult to overcome.  The Red Barons would stretch their lead to 20 in the second half with Broome fighting back to cut the lead to 12 in the MSAC game, but the hosts would get no closer than that.

Tron Smith turned in a 23 point second half performance on his way to a game high 29 points, accompanied by 11 rebounds and 7 assists.  Zachary Porter also scored in double figures with 10, Quartus Steika grabbed 14 rebounds and blocked 2 shots in addition to his 4 points.

Broome is back in action at home on Saturday at 3:00 P.M. in a MSAC game against Jefferson CC, and a Region III contest on Sunday at 3:00 P.M. against Hudson Valley CC.
