In their first game since December 15, the Hornets came out strong and took a 45-23 lead into the locker room at halftime. SUNY Broome kept its foot on the gas in the second half en route to a 23-point win on its home floor in the Baldwin Gymnasium.
Four Hornets netted double-digit point totals in the win. Sophomore Antonio Maria led SUNY Broome in scoring with 19 points, adding two rebounds, two steals, and an assist. Connor Green dominated the post with a 15-point, 16-rebound double-double. Amauri Truax also logged 15 points in the contest, adding six assists, four rebounds, and two steals. Antuan Darden was the final Hornet in double figures as he went for 11 points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks.
SUNY Broome also received strong contributions from its reserves, netting 14 bench points in the game.
The Hornets improved to 3-7 overall and 2-1 in conference play with the victory.
