SUNY Broome took a 15-point lead into halftime over conference opponent Cayuga and cruised to a comfortable victory on its home floor.
The Hornets received contributions from many players in the contest, but the performances by Musa and Williams stuck out. Each scored a season high on Saturday as Musa led Broome with 18 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals, while Williams had 15 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
Connor Green had 16 points and eight rebounds in the win. Antuan Darden also had 12 points and six boards. SUNY Broome enjoyed a statistical advantage over Cayuga in shooting from the field, from three, and from the charity stripe.
The Hornets improved their overall record to 8-13 and moved to 6-5 in MSAC play. Three games remain on the docket for the regular season. The next two are at home, beginning this Wednesday vs Onondaga CC.
