SUNY Broome entered the game with a 7-9 record while Clinton sat at 7-10, and it very much played out like an evenly-matched contest. The Hornets trailed 38-37 at the half and it stayed tight throughout the second as the Cougars had just a 37-35 advantage in the second half.
SUNY Broome shot 42.9% from the field, 33.3% from three-point range, and 80.0% from the free-throw line. Clinton shot 42.6% from the field, 31.6% from three, and 81.0% from the free-throw line. The Hornets outrebounded (33-29) and gained more assists (18-15), steals (13-8), and blocks (2-1) than the Cougars. However, Clinton forced four more turnovers and two more personal fouls upon Broome.
Four Hornets reached double figures in scoring in the loss. Antonio Maria led the way with 17 points, three rebounds, and three assists. Antuan Darden followed with 15 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Connor Green secured a fourth straight double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Amauri Truax had 10 points, five assists, and two steals, but fouled out of the contest.
SUNY Broome fell to 7-10 on the season with the defeat.
