The women's basketball team earned their 5th consecutive win 70-56 against Tompkins Cortland CC Saturday afternoon in Dryden. The win did not come easily for the Hornets. The MSAC contest saw eleven ties and eleven lead changes. Maddie Blackman (Conklin, NY/Susquehanna Valley) connected on her only two free throws of the game to break a 51-51 tie at the 7:24 mark and start a 19-5 run to finish the game.

Caity Kuhnen (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) finished with 27 points, 11 boards, 5 assists and 3 blocks to lead the Hornets. Chandler Prouty (Oneonta, NY/Milford) posted her second consecutive 20 plus game with 22 points and 15 rebounds, Lucille Dellos added 12 points and Blackman had 13 rebounds to go along with 8 points.

The Hornets improved to 7-4;2-0 and will host the Lazers from Onondaga CC in the Baldwin Gym at 6:00 p.m. this Tuesday
