NJCAA's 4th Ranked Team Too Much For Women

The women's basketball team lost to the NJCAA's 4th ranked team in the country Tuesday night in Syracuse 78-55. The Hornets kept it close through the first twelve minutes of the game and went into the half down by twelve before the Lazers pulled away in the second half. Caity Kuhnen (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) led all scorers with 26 points and Lucille Dellos added 14 points in the MSAC contest. Chandler Prouty (Oneonta, NY/Milford) totaled 10 boards and 9 points for the Hornets. The Lazers were led by Alisia Griffin and Brittany Anderson with 23 and 20 points respectively.

Onondaga improved to 20-4;8-0 MSAC while SUNY Broome fell to 12-7;6-3 MSAC. The Hornets return to action this Friday at 6:00 p.m. in the Baldwin Gym for a Region III game against Schenectady County CC.
