Marisa Valdes scored two goals to lead host SUNY Broome to a 4-0 victory over visiting Cayuga CC Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field in the first game of a doubleheader with the men's soccer team. Danielle Tyrrell and Miranda DeSanctis contributed a goal apiece while Abby Godbout had two assists and teammates Emily Icenogle and Hannah Majka each had an assist.

Ariel Roys went the distance in goal for Broome (4-2), recording her second shutout in a row.  Bre Becker stopped 12 shots for the Cayuga (1-5). The Hornets held a 28-3 advantage in shots and the Spartans held a 1-0 advantage in corner kicks.

The Hornets will travel to Alfred State College on Thursday for a 6:00 p.m. game.
