Women's Soccer Cruises By Corning 4-0

Katelyn Simpson scored a pair of goals and added a pair of assists and Ariel Roys registered her sixth shutout of the season as visiting Broome defeated host Corning, 4-0, in a MSAC women's soccer match Tuesday afternoon in Corning, NY

With the win, the Hornets move to 12-3 on the year and have won eleven of their last twelve games after starting out 1-2 to begin the season.

Danielle Tyrrell and Emily Icenogle scored a goal apiece as Broome outshot the Red Barons (3-10-1) 31-3 and held a 8-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Roys made two stops in goal while Corning goalkeeper Aja Gasper was kept busy all game with twenty stops in goal.

Icenogle and Kaylyn Knewasser each recorded an assist in the win.

Broome now awaits the seeding selection this Wednesday for the Region III Tournament.
